Its been a long journey since switching my camera to manual for the first time over 6 years ago. The long road between here and there has been a roller-coaster ride but I’m so excited about the road ahead. The changes over the years from hobbyist to student to professional have been a growing process. Thanks to everyone who has followed me along this journey. Your support has been invaluable!
With growth there are changes… As with anyone who grows in their field, even photographers move away from the beginner practices and offer their clientele a more quality product. I am currently making those changes. In the coming months I will be debuting some really awesome new print products as I move away from the digital market. Disks is where we start as beginning photographers and hobbyist. It’s where we cut our teeth. We learn posing, lighting and how to a hundred other things. Selling disks of digital file is how we afford better equipment and training. While there was a time a disk was all I was able to provide a client but, I have grown beyond “shoot and burn”.
For those of you used to getting nothing but digital images from me… I hope you will understand that as I move forward and grow in my photographic skills and business, I will be gradually moving away from the digital market and into crafting artwork exclusively for print. In the past I optimized to shoot at popular consumer print labs. I will no longer be optimizing for consumer print lab but for my own professional labs. Digital items, while still possible, will become available exclusively as a gift with purchase product in the near future. These digital products will be formatted for social media use and contain a small watermark.
