Since 2016, Mary O. has been sponsoring the Steele High School Theater Department’s Annual Headshots for their production classes. Creating high-quality headshots for the students and instructor team has allowed them to produce higher-quality production extras like playbills and marketing. In addition, the students often use these headshots when auditioning for shows and acting jobs outside the school environment allowing them to begin building acting resumes in high school. Mary O. makes nothing from this partnership but friends. Instead, she also offers the students the opportunity to fundraise for their program by selling Mary O. gift cards. The funds raised have purchased costumes, props, and set pieces the students would have otherwise had to pay for out of pocket and even helped with travel to national competitions.
