An Adventure with Boy Scout Troop 59…

Every now and then its time to take a break and vacation with the family… but when your family is in to scouting, those vacations become an adventure! My first non working vacation since taking my photography business full time was last month. The kids took me camping with the scouts at Garner State Park. My job was to drive the car and relax. The kids had it all planned, a little swimming, a little hiking and some fun Dutchoven cooking. Hiking turned out to be one of my favorite parts of the weekend. It gave me an opportunity to break away from my usual genera of photography and delve in to some nature work. I loved having some thing different to look at and the accomplishment of climbing 1800 feet to summit Old Baldy was thrilling. Along the way we met some wilderness rescue crews out training and competing and checked out some caves. A super fantastic adventure for sure. Late one evening, the boys had some photographic entertainment as we played with slow capture and glow sticks!
