A week or so ago, I made an impromptu trip to With all the reasons to love a museum, the McNay Art Museummy favorite art museum. stands out for me because of the diversity of its collection and touring exhibits and also because of their great efforts to make art accessible to everyone. The McNay is home to Picassos, Van Goghs and an extensive and eclectic collection of everything from medieval European to modern American art. What was so unexpected on the particular day I popped in is the visit from Aerial Horizon, a performance group specializing in aerial acrobatics. With all the spectators, I was just able to catch a handful of images from my spot at the back of the room but the experience of the moment was watching the seemingly effortless grace of the assent and beautiful arrangement of their bodies mid air.
